2. Advantages of the Steel Structure Stadium

Superior Insulation for Constant Temperatures: The most important aspect of these sports projects is the strategic use of the PU insulation board. In the Uruguayan stadium, a substantial 150mm thick PU insulation layer is filled securely between the steel grid and the curtain wall keel. This configuration forms a continuous and highly effective insulation barrier. Ultimately, this insulation barrier increases the energy-saving efficiency of the indoor constant-temperature system by an impressive 40%.

Fast Construction and Assembly: The stadium construction utilizes a highly rapid construction process based heavily on prefabricated steel components. Operating under a notoriously harsh environment, the main roof of the structure was successfully capped in a remarkably short timeframe of only 7 months.

High-Strength and Precision Engineering: The main body of the building uses box-shaped steel columns and heavy-duty H-shaped steel beams to safely construct a durable space grid. Furthermore, accurate on-site assembly of the 12-meter-tall structure is achieved effortlessly through advanced high-strength bolt connection technology.

3. Project Features

Innovative Roofing System: The overarching roofing system is an innovative combination built around PU temperature-insulating core materials. This core is reinforced with double-molded steel plates and an integrated wind support system. Alternatively, for the Uruguay project, the specialized roof and wall systems utilize a proven combination of strong steel sheets and glass wool insulation.

Green Building Integration: The whole Uruguayan project actively adopts the robust anti-corrosion coating of an environmentally friendly steel structure. Its uniquely rigid and flexible metal skeleton, paired with a visually streamlined curved surface design, has successfully become a new benchmark for the integration of green building and steel structure technology.
